Yeah she wakes me up in the middle of night just to tell me everything will be alright.

It's one of those things, that you decide not to post because all you're posting about is one facet of your life, because you don't want to share it elsewhere, because you're a tad embarrassed. So I haven't been posting about jogging, but I've done 4 jogs since last time.

The first was a joke. I was all like "omg, I can jog 7.5km, so I can jog 10km, right? Awesome!" And then, 5km in, I realise my mistake. That mistake ended up being a 4.2km walk home, because of course my 10km round trip involved going far away, didn't it?

So then I did a couple of 5km jogs, at reasonable speeds, and today after a 5-day gap I went back to the theory of "hey, what about I just run until I start feeling tired and then plan from there." So that ended up being 8.1km, and since it was 47:23 that makes over 10km/h. Woo, that does make me happy. I might try to jog a full 10km in under an hour at some stage in the future.

I've found that the limiting factor is no longer my poor cardio (which was one reason I started jogging - it was certainly the reason I joined then quit a gym 9 years ago...), but my leg muscles, so I think that's a victory. It means that I need to do interval training or whatever it's called - shorter distances on the sprint. I should also get my lazy ass into gear, and my lazy core, and my lazy pecs, and etc.

Also, just so this isn't all the same, played Catan and Catan and Dominion and Dominion and Magic over the last couple of days, good socialising and no winning but fun had.
