i am worried about our country - not just my usual feeling pissed off about the state of things and wishing there was something normal citizens could do to make change. this time I'm really worried. the recession seems inevitable and I don't think alot of people are really paying attention. i am though, and i'm wondering how it will affect my ( Read more... )

i'm not worried because i don't know what is going on.
i heard on the radio yesterday about the stock market doing poorly all over the world, but i don't get it. why did it happen? what does that even mean? how does this affect me personally if i don't have any money in the stock market? i didn't hear anything about this $800 you mentioned, either. how does that work?

haha yeah, i saw this on cnn during lunch.
soooo we are all getting $600 for nothing? sounds good to me, although i don't understand how this will help the economy. if anything, it's going straight into my savings account. i'm not going to go off on a spending spree.
