[ Halloween Meme! ]

When characters make their way to the ground floor of Dixon House, they'll find that it's been decorated for Halloween with 1920s flare (Decorated? By who? Hang on, what is this costume you're wearing? Wait, Halloween? Wasn't it only October 11th? Well, not tonight!). Orange and black ribbons are strung around the walls and lights, paper lanterns and jack-o-lanterns give the space a warm autumn glow and a large table in the centre is laid out with a large spread of candies and treats for party-goers to help themselves to. A space has been made for ballroom dancing, and outside in the moonlit grounds of the mansion, carved pumpkins housing candles give out soft, eerie glows.

As the night rolls on it may seem as though something is amiss... Is it something in the candy? Or the strange fortune-telling game? Perhaps. Maybe if you want to stay clear of such strange things, it would be best simply to mingle, talk with friends and get to talk with some of the strange new faces that have arrived for the night.

By the morning, no-one will remember a thing; the decorations will all be gone, the food will have vanished, there won't be a single pumpkin left and all those strange new faces that had arrived just for that one night will be gone. The date will be October 12th 1928, just as you'd expect it to be and all that's left to show for the night is an odd, ephemeral sense of deja-vu, like a dream that you can't quite remember...

[OOC Notes: The post is open to all, so this includes characters already in Myst and characters not in Myst! Invite friends along to play and do what you like! This meme is not related to in-game canon. Please assume that characters turning up for the party have somehow ~magically~ arrived in the costumes of their choice.

Spam around, play in multiple threads, thread-hop if it seems cool to do, and just have fun. Happy Halloween, guys!]
