Well,
This past weekend I was up in Milwaukee for Jesse's bachelor party. He is friend of mine from undergrad at MSOE. I decided that I would go up a day early on Friday so that I could spend some time with other friends. I left here on Friday morning at 8:00 am, so that I could get up to milwaukee by Noon for lunch with Rick. Rick is the director of student activities at MSOE, and is the type of guy that unless you give him a timeframe of when you need to meet with someone he will keep you talking for hours upon hours.
Lunch was good, nothing special, just going out to Chipotle which isn't down in Champaign or atleast not in Campustown so I rarely eat there since leaving Milwaukee. After lunch with Rick, I headed over to Michelle's apartment. Michelle is also another friend from undergrad, who I was going to be crashing at for the evening. We just bummed around for a little bit and then went out to Riversplash in downtown Milwaukee with one of Michelle's roommates and Dan Stach and Stephanie hunt. So the grand total was 2 guy and 3 girls.
And this is where the night became interesting. Now remember there is 3 girls and 2 guys. The girls started taking lots of shots and since I am not a big drinker, and I know these girls are probably going to get a little drunk I hold off. Well by about 10:30ish, the girls were pretty much already wasted, and Steph became a little sick and Dan took her home because she could barely stand. So that left me with 2 very drunk girls to take care of for myself. The rest of the evening was an adventure which involved taking 45 minutes to walk 6 blocks, and girls making out.
The next day was the bachelor party, which out of the 14 people that could have come only 6 people did. Yet the evening was a fun time. First we went out disc golfing. Now for people that have never heard of disc golf it is basically golf played with a frisbee. As for all of us we basically agreed it would have been more fun with a beer in one hand, but alas we had none. After disc golf we went back to the hotel, which I rented at a great price of $75 (Thanks to Rick), then we went out to dinner at cook your own steak restaurant. We bought Jesse a 40oz steak that if you ate it all in 75 minutes you earned this medal and a picture on the wall. He did it in 50 minutes and then ate a piece of desert afterwards, yet he couldn't finish the desert and left one bite, yes one bite of dessert on the plate. After that we went to this hilarious comedian and then hit the bars. It was a great relaxing evening of sending Jesse off in style.
I am really jealous of that guy, he found a great woman and even though he isn't going to be single anymore if I was confronted with the same position of him I would probably be very happy.
Later
