Yeah so, I've got some time right now. So I guess I'll update this.
So my room situation is a mess. Two of my roomates have been in a nonsensical fight since October and right before Thanksgving it escalated to it's peak. We had to have a meeting with our RD (resident director? He's in charge of the dorm.) which was the stupidest idea ever and did nothing but make the tension worse, waste two hours of my life and get me involved in the fight. (Beforehand I just kind of listened to them talk about all the things that happened and tried to make sense out of it, since everyone had a dfferent story. I was always elsewhere whenever anything happened. *never in the room it's so goddamn hot*) I didn't really mind living with any of them. None of them had ever done anything substantial to me and I never witnessed any of the behavior they were accusing each other of.
However, the two who I was much closer with both moved out last week leaving me with the one they were fighting with. Which kind of sucks, especially since they didn't tell me they were moving out until the day before. It's awkward living with her since it was obvious that I was closer to the other two; and I was very angry the day I found out they were moving and said some things I shouldn't have said to her. I might move into another room (I have my fingers crossed that my friend in the next room's roomie will leave, since there are rumors that she will.) Previously menioned RD keeps forcing a different room on me though. I'm hesitant to move in with them. They're the only room freshman on the first floor I haven't talked to and I don't know anything about them. I don't want to end up in a worse situation than what I'm in. (Even if I talk to them, I'm not going to know what it's like to live with them until it's too late.)
And here's another problem, this time within my group of friends. I know I've mentioned a certain member of our group to a few of you who tends to treat us badly. She's condescending, bossy, and tends to treat us all like we're a bunch of children when really it's her whose the most immature of the group. She never blames herself for anything. Why, just a couple of days ago I was sitting with her handing out packages and she starts to open one up on accident. I ask her what she's doing and instead of saying something like "Whoops, I'm sorry!" she says "Well why didn't you stop me sooner!" This isn't kindergarden. I'm not responsible for what you do.
Anyway, back to the point. One of the members of our little group just left her a (two and a quater page!)letter about why she will no longer talk to her. So we'll see how that goes tomorrow.
Yesterday someone was fucking around with a fire extinguisher in the girl's hallway and filled the whole hallway with oxygen-sucking smoke. So the fire alarm went off. This all happened at around two in the morning (I think?).
Personally, I found that last one amusing.
Oh,and earlier that night one of my former roomies(Sarah) came into Jason's room completely wasted while we were watching a movie. I heard some of the fucking funniest conversations I ever heard in my life that night. My favorites:
Sarah(talking to Katie): Yo you have HUGE-ASS BOOBS!
Katie:...Then what does Christine have?
Sarah: She has MAD HUGE TITTIES!
and...
Jason: -holds up plastic sword-
Sarah: HOLY SHIT YOUR FUCKING ALADIN!
Jason:...I am huh?
Sarah: -starts singing genie in a bottle-
Jason: -pretends to be cutting Sarah's foot with the sword-
Sarah: Noooo don't cut off my fooooootttt....I need that for walkiiiinnnnnng
Probably a hellavu lot funnier at the time but I still wanted to share.
So yeah, I have two finals left next week, one on Monday and one on Tuesday and then I'm done for the semester! Yay!
