Dollhouse

I'm not sure who on my friend's list is watching Dollhouse, but can I simply express, from a non-fandom girl, how OMFG last night's episode was?

I probably approach every tv show I watch with a certain set of criteria, that I hadn't really thought about until Dollhouse came on.
- I've talked about my need to connect with a male character in a crushy way.
- I need to emotionally connect with SOME character on the show, even if just one of them.
- There's information I *need*, and this varies from show.

So five episodes in to Dollhouse, I found it enjoyable (and strangely addictive, as I tend to want to watch it & Moonlight twice each weekend), but at the same time... things were MISSING. Things were wrong, and if they weren't fixed, I doubt I could have kept watching past the first season.

Last night Fox finally let go of Whedon's balls, and let him do what he does best. For the first time, I'm fucking excited. The morals & ethics of the business (about fucking time!), the grander scope of the organization, a personal connection with the "clients"... maybe last night's episode had too much, but given how much he's been holding back on us, I'm okay with that. A couple of suspicions were confirmed, and a couple more are brewing in my head. It's exciting now, and I needed that.

Gah. I can't wait for Garren to come over & watch it.
