Dance Party Massacre Update!
For those who may have missed the email/Facebook/Myspace messages:
First off, thank you to the folks who have already volunteered and shown interest in the event-- you guys are in my worshipped pile. I'm terrifically excited about Dance Party Massacre!, particularly given some strange, but wonderful changes!
First off, the event's date has been changed; it was scheduled for Friday the 24th, from 10-til. It will now be wrapping up the Dark Carnival Film Festival on Saturday, the 25th . If this interferes with anyone's ability to participate (or frees up some friends to join up), please, let me know!
Because of this change, I have three great announcements:
First, we've book Ben " Action Jackson" to be our DJ for the evening. I can rest assured that at the very least, there will be a fantastic DJ spinning great, great music.
Next, we have two confirmed guests for that evening, and they're fucking fantastic. I cannot tell you how excited I am about them.
Brenna Lee Roth, Scream Queen and daughter of the legendary David Lee Roth, will be hosting at the festival, and from what I hear, is super excited about being a victim for the Dance Party.
Additionally, Ari Lehman, who plays the young Jason in the original Friday the 13th, will be performing at Dance Party Massacre! with his band, The First Jason.
Personally, I can not tell you how honored I am to have these people involved and excited about the event.
Please, please, keep passing the word out, and let people know about the changes. Forward this email on to any listservs/forums/friends/lovers/siblings/parents/pets you may have that are interested in participating, helping with tech (like pre-party make-up and special effects), or just interested in coming to a fun and one-of-a-kind party. I'll try to keep everything as unimposing on your schedules as possible, and there may be a production meeting or two the week of. If you've volunteered, also, send me any details you may have on costuming, etc. Let me know your sizes, comfort levels (not everyone has to run around half-nude, unless you want to), what you own and don't mind getting destroyed, so that I can start planning out this aspect.
You guys are amazing, and I can say that you're all involved in making me LOVE my life right now.
