but you're the human dance party
Hoorah! It is Spring Break! (And never before in my life have I needed a school vacation to come so badly).
Yesterday was a rather disastrous day, leaving me feeling most catatonic from the afternoon on. I vowed that I would not consider things I "needed" to do until Sunday, and that those 36 hours would be dedicated to doing whatever I felt like doing.
Last night there was sushi goodness with halooverhorns, akra_brigid, song_fire & lady friend, and special guest, notmikey. I ate a piece of fish! And lots of veggies! Plus, tempura ice cream, which was so very tasty & good. It was nice to be around people who didn't care that my best conversation consisted of fart, your mom, and sex jokes.
Things to do during Spring Break...
The WHEE! side:
- Write for Miss Malaprop (Ideally, I'd like to have 10 or so blogs up for her to post over the next few weeks.
- Knit!
- Get a Massage
- Get Miss Lottie pants all fixed up
- Read!
- Cook and eat lots of yumness that does not come from: DP Dough, Chipotle, the Bakehouse, SOMA/Laughing Planet, Greeks, or any other location down town.
- Eat steak and drink beer.
- Yoga
- Reorganize my living room
- Go through possessions and get rid of things (particularly clothing *ahem*)
- Recuperate losses by Shopping!
- Sew dress/vest/neckwarmer/etc.
- Go to Atomic Age Cinema (maybe?!)
- Clean my apartment.
The BOOO! side:
- Finance Homework *sigh*
- Marketing Homework
- Journals for Management class
- Cardinal Stage Marketing DeathWork
- Emails for Cinephile
- Fill out my FAFSA
- Finish Scholarship information
- Finish fixing the nonsense with Chase credit.
My new bag (featured on Miss Malaprop and bought from Etsy) came today! The seller felt bad for it taking so long, so she added in this adorable little penguin bag and a sweet note. The transactions I have on Etsy constantly remind me in the goodness of individual sellers, the pride they take in their work, and the importance they place on customer service. This all makes me very happy.
