Freya

Looks like this is going to be a long term (permanent) issue. So I better start being prepared for regular medical expenses.

Freya responded well to the last treatment (she always does) and has been doing very well for a while. As of Friday, she only had a couple little lingering scabs from over scratching.

But over the course of Sun/Mon A fresh lesion appeared by her ear, and on Tuesday her neck was sticky.

After letting her get so bad last time, I promised myself I'd take her in at the first sign of recurrence. The generosity of my friends made it so I didn't have to stress about the cost this round. And I thank you very much!

So ya, looks like this will be an on-going issue for the remainder of her life. Vet has treated a few cats with this condition, including his own. We just need to take good care of her, get her the meds to keep it in check, and treat the flair ups as they occur. Because this seems to be an allergic reaction to pollen, hopefully she'll get a break from a lot of the meds over the winter months.
