Comments about contest
We didn't make the Top 10. We did our best, but were prepared for the likely outcome. The competition this year was FIERCE, and we knew that going in.
In the end we placed 17th. We did well, and sang at our best ability, we have no regrets.
I'm a glass is half full person. There were a lot of perks to not making the finals...
1) Extra free time in Hawaii. No extra rehearsals and getting up early to compete in the finals.
2) I got to watch the entire finals contest from beginning to end. (Instead of being in pattern to compete)
3) NOW people are finally ready to do some WORK at rehearsals. 2010, here we come!
So I didn't come home with any "bling" (medals), but I had a wonderful time. Both in Hawaii and at the Contest. I only wish I had an extra couple of days to soak in a little bit more Hawaii. ;-)
