Dress Reherasl
Dress rehearsal was fun last night.
I was tickled pink that twilight2000, scarlettina, winifred & kistha ALL made it. w00t!
I was concerned that they were going to go cross eyed with boredom when we did the same two songs three times in a row. LOL We eventually went into our show package which included 4 songs and character dialog.
Our sound was off, and that's why our director kept repeating the first two songs.*
I don't know what's going to have to happen to get the right sound to come from the risers. Maybe it's gong to take a round of low scores. Maybe we'll have to take a beating at internationals.
People just aren't animated enough on the risers. The director, coaches etc, beat on it every time, every week. A key element is having the right face. If you have the right face, you get the right sound.
I feel like so many people are coasting. I am too. But fact is I coast at a higher level then others.
Anyway, I had a great time. And was trilled to have so many of my friends there to see me in the front row. *squee*
* We're not competing this year at Regionals (we won last year, and are going to Internationals this year), but we chose to perform for evaluation. The first two songs are what will be evaluated.
