Weekend in review
Friday - Hosted my first Game Night at my house. Slightly smaller turnout then I had hoped, but it was still good. Guys played pool when the girls played other games and the kids played with each other and ran around. I need to pickup some stuff for the kids. After a while I felt they were starting to get bored. Can't have bored kids in MY house. Nope.
Saturday - Went to a HUGE garage sale with Mom. I mean huge! It was held in an old airplane hangar. We got some bits and pieces but the items of note were two small tables I got for $15 each. I'm going to practice my refinishing and faux painting on em. One is a lovely all wood nightstand (no pressboard crap) with nice sliding drawers and dove tail joints. It's showing its age with some scratches and water rings. It's so nice, I'll first just try to re-finish it with a nice cherry stain. The other is a small end table with a metal stand and circular wood top. This is perfect for me to do a faux marble finish I always wanted to try.
Sunday - Pretty lazy day. Played some Star Wars Galaxies, and made a half hearted attempt to work around the house. It was sooo hot, I just wanted to nap all day. The cats were just furry puddles randomly scattered around the house.
