She Lives

Well I came thru it in one piece.... all right.

They removed 6 teeth and did "crown lengthening" my remaining front teeth. I'd say the first four hours after the surgery were the worsed.

Pain pill only lasted for 2 hours and I had to wait another two before I could take another one. I have take the pain pills with food (rrriiiggghhhhtttt) so I forced myself to eat some Campbell’s chicken soup. Boy was that an adventure. I couldn't even chew the tiny bits of chicken in the soup, and I swallowed the noodles whole.

I have no chewing teeth left. This will change of course. As soon as I'm healed enough I'll get a partial denture thingy. Then 6 to 9ish months from now, I'll have implants with titanium studs. Grawr!

Scott's been a dear, he check on me a lot last night, asking me if I need anything. My reply was always the same. Sleep.

I do have stitches, but my mouth feels so uncomfortable all over, I hardly notice. The way my bridge feels now after the crown lengthening, feels like I'm wearing those wax teeth you get at Halloween. And the way my gums look where they did the crown lengthening is just gross... really gross.

The 6 extractions were tricky. Because my teeth are so fragile, they came out in may pieces. But today they don't hurt. It's the crown lengthening that hurts like a some-bitch.

Anyway I've mostly slept since coming home till now. It's only going to get better from here.

I'm going to go lay down some more, and maybe later today I'll try to carve some stamps.

dental, scott
