Humans One and Three went out an hour or two ago. They do that. So I lay down on the rug and attended to my sleeping schedule.
Then they came back, so I lifted my head expectantly. Human One came in, and I looked pleased, and Human Three came in, and I looked pleased-
-and they had Human Two with them! So I scrambled to my feet and trotted over to greet him, panting happily and wagging my tail, and we spent a full quarter-hour telling each other how happy we were to see one another. He scratched my hindquarters (I like that) and pressed his mouth against my muzzle over and over again (I tolerate that) and picked up my forepaws (dammit, why does he have to do that), and I circled around him and grinned goofily.
He's not inherently more interesting than Humans One or Three (except that he goes for better walks). He's just not around nearly enough, so I'm very happy when he turns up. So is he.
He's gone upstairs now (he looks tired). But tomorrow I know I get loooong walkies.
