The trouble with Humans is their completely unrealistic expectations of how dogs should behave.
Take
footpad, for example. A while ago he showed me a photograph of two German Shepherds he'd seen in the main concourse of Zurich train station, and he explained how they weren't tied up or restrained; they had their leashes lying unfastened beside them. They could have got up and walked away; they could have gone to explore the edibles of the nearby shop; they could have gone trotting off in search of other dogs; they could have gone peeing on trains and thereby extended their territories over all of Europe. But they didn't. They'd just sat there, because they'd been told to, and because they were Good Dogs.
I think Human Two is trying to tell me that I am not a Good Dog.
But I don't care, because (in as much as I paid the photograph any attention at all), my only possible opinion on the matter was-
What stupid dogs!
