Yay for cookies!
Just when I thought living out here in cow-town was taking its toll on me, all it took was a sweet gesture from a dear friend to cheer me up. Thank you so much, Penny (aka penemuele), for sending me delicious, home-made chocolate-chip cookies all the way from Marblehead, Massachusetts.
I don't know what I did to deserve this but to be honest, I kinda need this kindness. I've been having a shitty week (for those of you who heard about my missing parcel, please to be updated that it has been found but I don't want to indulge details because that will only get me into another fit of rage which I really don't need right now) and Penny saved me. :D
For someone to take time out of their day to make something for me and send it all the way out here just leaves me speechless and humbled. I've only known Penny for a short while but she's such a sweetheart and a dear friend. I only wish I knew her in real life because then I'd be able to thank her by taking her out shopping or doing something in return to make her happy. Speaking of which, I wonder if she likes Apple Pie. :p
