But I couldn't tell which was the more popular dynamic! Most pairings have it both ways, right, (EVEN N. ITALY/GERMANY I was so *wtf* when I read that), but usually one is (waaaaaay) more popular than the other.

I know that the fans are debating about Gary/Ash and Ash/Gary, I guess it's the same for Green/Red or Red/Green? But the pixiv artists/users seem to be pretty indecisive in that matter. Haha. I always see fanarts tagged as Gurire (Green/Red) AND Reguri (Red/Green) lol. I think I prefer Guriren just a tiiiiny bit more though. :P

Red =/= Ash. Ash might be based on Red (first generation), but Ash is definitely not Red. The Japanese fans even differenciate between Game!Red (first generation & most of the time HGSS) and Game!Red (FRLG) and Manga!Red. It's very confusing. dying. But Red is really cute, so it doesn't really matter. LOL.
I don't know what you can do either. lol. But I think that if you're on someone's 'my peak' (?) list, you can see the locked fanarts. It's pretty much like friending someone on LJ? I DON'T REALLY KNOW. LOL.

Yeah. I knew they were different, just not how much, cuz I actually... have never finished playing any Pokemon game. lol. I've always wanted a Gameboy/DS but first it was too expensive... and then I just didn't have time to play with it. I've only played on my friends' consoles. In fanart, Red always has such a flat expression. haha. It's endearing. But Green and Gary seem pretty similar?

Red and Ash are pretty different? hmm. I'm not sure which I prefer of Red/Green, Green/Red. Red is reallly cute either way. <3
