Hmm.

I realized today that, aside from a short giftfic for Mi-chan, I haven't written any humor since last July. That's...just shy of a year. For better or worse, my style seems to have grown more serious. I really don't know what to make of it, to be honest.

So that makes me wonder...I've been experimenting a lot in my writing lately - heck, "Fragmentary Image" in particular is not much more than a drawn-out experiment, as far as style is concerned - but is any of it working, or is it all in my head? Even I know that my fics have been pretty hit or miss...I think I've written some of my best work and some of my most mediocre. The question is...which one's which?

I'd really like some input, guys. If anyone who reads my writing could answer just a few questions, I'd be eternally grateful. And don't be afraid to be honest.

1. Out of the fics I posted in 2007 and 2008 thus far, what was your favorite? Why? And which one did you think was my biggest failure? Again, why?

2. What about my style? Is it maturing, or am I wasting my time with these experiments? What works for you, and what doesn't?

3. On a similar note, which do you prefer: my humor fics or my more serious efforts?

4. I've dabbled in a few fandoms other than RurouKen in the past year and a half, and even within RurouKen, I've played around with pairings I'm not as comfortable with as KxT. If you're a fan of those fandoms or pairings, do you think I did them justice? If you aren't a fan, or if you're unfamiliar, do my fics do anything to make you more interested?

5. Any other comments about my writing? Have I improved in any way over the past year and a half?
