Some Questions from Newbies - most people will get annoyed, why?
- What is Cosplay?
There is a lot newbies like to ASK this question before reading any useful info from internet. They will keep posting the same question over and over but hardly take effort to really understand what is Cosplay.
Previously I can find 3 threads with same question in same forum within 3 months.
- How can I become a Cosplayer?
I seldom see this ‘question’ often in 5 years back (roughly?) in Malaysia, but now you can see it very often. Previously whoever interested in joining normally will only ask “Can I join?” and prepare their own costume without annoying others. Now there is some newbie don’t even know HOW TO CHOOSE a character, which is really annoying.
To become a Cosplayer, you don’t need to do surgery, you no need to get license, you no need to have 3 legs, you no need to have experience living with E.T 100 years before, you no need to jump off building, why have to ask this question???
- Is there any (Cosplay) event here?
They ask before checking, there is A LOT people posting A LOT up-coming event info in forum with HIGHLIGHT, how can they missed it, we cannot understand.
- Why Malaysia don't have Cosplay event?
If this question was being asked 5 years back is understanable, but in year 2009???
- Why no Cosplay contest? Why there is NO this-kind (Cosplay) of event here? Why no people willing to organize (Cosplay) event here?
They only want COSPLAY EVENT, it seems like they having problem in understand - events which are ACG based NOT NECESSARY is COSPLAY EVENT. They keep on waiting or requesting any organizer to holds these events just to have a chance to wear differently in public, with a solid excuse to support their act.
- Please choose a character for me? What character should I Cosplay?
This ‘question’ is EXTREMELY annoying, what is the reason for you to Cosplay? Do you understand WHAT is Cosplay? Why you have to ask others to decide for you what character to Cosplay?
- Where to get XYZ-extremelycommon/simple- materials? (ask before research)
Why can’t you do research before asking? There is a SPECIAL thread full of info where to get what, can’t you read?? Why you have to waste others’ time to repeat the same answer over and over again??
- I want to Cosplay, but don’t know where to get costume
The costume will not drop from the sky F.O.C, don’t you have any common sense?
- General question without any specific info
Do you think other people is cacing in your stomach??
