Oh well, Inter-UG day is over... now it's just three more official meetings and the Sec 4s are going to mysteriously disappear from GB. I was looking forward to it about a month or two ago, because I was just thinking about how badly I needed the time to study for the EOIs (on another note I AM ACTUALLY SATISFIED WITH MY GRADES for now - which also means I am not really eager for them to start slipping anytime soon). But I think today when the Sec 4s from all the UGs were singing Dedication I finally felt it, as in, really felt it, this sense of loss that we were going to end our journeys in GB. As cliche as that statement does sound ;)
It's been four long years. Not always smooth-sailing (in fact, there have been more than enough tumultous moments to last me through a few more years to come), but memorable. You only spend two years with your lower/upper sec classes. You spend four years with your CCA batchmates. Oh no... I have so much to say to each and every one of you. But I'll just mention four of you guys todayy :)
Vic: I know you always, ALWAYS say I'm so straight I make rulers jealous, but I LOVE YOU SOOOOO MUCH! Haha really I do I do. I'll never meet anyone ever again who can be as random as me as you ): Yeah, we've really been through a lot together, huh. From our first random nonsensical magical mineral water and chinese curry puffs at Delifrance in Sec 2 (check your Feb '04 blogspot archives, I remember you blogged about it), to our NDP days as Egg Tofu and Fruit Punch (and Corporal Chips and Milk Tops and fatfacedman), to our NUMERous rollerblading escapades at East Coast Park (which we must definitely continue), to our recent pri-va-te toi-let-te ses-sions and adventures at Chancery Court, and of course, NEVER EVER to forget the great legacies of Potato Pie and Cornflour and tambourine dances and terracotta pots, these are memories I never want to forget (((: As Thanalatchmi Naidu and Czechoslovakia Vallapan Vengopalan, we rockkkkkk, don't we? LA BAMBA!
Val: My dearest Christopherrr. Oh, I almost forgot. -bows- "HELLO!" NEON LEON THE PEE-ON HUGGLES YOU! Heh, I just recalled one very funny memory around this time last year (which I shall recount to you in person for reasons I shall not bother mentioning). Anyway you're one of the nicest people I know, because you're just so sincere and caring and funny all at the same time. And because everytime I think of you, I laugh for a myriad of reasons. "To give our NEIGHBOURS and ourselves to thee...". Vic's story of the decorative dessert balls. Even nonsense like trying to remember the tune to the song in March of the Penguins (I want to live, in paradise ;)). And of course, because MAH NAME IS LE-ON and YOUR NAME IS CHRIS-TO-PHERRR =D
Hil: -Slap hands and nods solemnly- Tapioca. SIR EDMUND HILARY! My favorite technician. Woman of Women (WOW!) How's Russia today? I will always remember you as the first person I ever spoke to in GB back in January 2003 (even if you don't!), With your shorttt hair and guai fringe and your-then-very-very-quiet demeanor. Although I do remember squeeing abit and going, "I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IN ONE-OH-SEVEN TOOOO!" Haha yes funny to think we would've been classmates in Sec 1 and 2 if I hadn't gone over to... erm, the dark side. Anyway hmmph you can dance and you can play the guitar really well and everyone thinks you're cool so :( Just kidding. One thing I've really admired about you is how true you are to yourself and everyone around you. How you can be so amazingly and uniquely Hil, while still exuding that really cool aura ahhhh haha ohwell I'll still remember how you were like in Sec 1, so there. =P
Li Anne: CHEONGCHEONG! You and I go wayyyy back. From taking the same schoolbus from nursery to K2 (yesyes, me with the china-doll hairstyle and you with those two pigtails) in Holy Grace kindergarten to being dance partners at the end of K2 in that disgustingly pink get-up. And to think we didn't know that until Sec 3! I'll never forget staying over at your house the day before ORA, flipping through the photo albums with you and coming across pictures of both of us holding hands and twirling around. And us going, "That's me!!! That's you!!! That's us!!! DANCING TOGETHER!!!" Yup, we sure have fate together, don't we =D And even though you're blur as a bat I still love you lots and lots and lots. Remember, we have twin hobby horses, Knicklace and Knacklace! Oh wow, that day last year at Ikea eating swedish meatballs and acting like total kids was so so so so much fun (: We should totally do that again. MY HUGS be to you.
HAND in HAND. We look really happy in here! Thanks Elisaaa.
