So, when I first started this semester, I was quite nervous that I'd actually have to to work, on top of my travels and tribulations through town.
Now, not so much.
I've gotten the final grades for all but one of my classes.
Intensive Elementary Spanish: B-
Introduction to Literature Studies: A-
Logic I: A
Introduction to Climate Change: Unknown
Highlights, and Horrors in above order.
Spanish: The professora looked like a Hispanic Tina Fey, and was quite amusing to watch. The class was 4 days aweek for 15 weeks, so I got to spend some time with alot of pretty girls who thought I was funny. Poor girls, must have never had real humor before. By the time the drop date came around, I was worried that I may not pass the class. (Since my tests and quizzes were D's and C's.) The professora however told me to go figure out my current grade, and that's what I should worry about. Assume I had all homework and all participation down. I came back the next day and told her that I had a solid B. She smiled and nodded. If you don't believe me on the Tina Fey. Oh, and she has a 6 year old son.
This is Tina Fey.
This is Da Profesora (Left) and Catlin (Right)
See what I mean. Oh and the girl next to her was absolutely adorable in class.
Introduction to Literature Studies: The prof was by and large an enigma to me until about 5 weeks in. He's a sardonic, sarcastic, condescending, and would "call you out" and make snide comments directly to you if you didn't do the work. If he was a she, or I were gay (Though, the running theory between me and a sexually ambiguous friend of mine in the class was that he was)
He looked remarkably like Billy Bob Thorton. Overall a fun class, lots of Islamic literature, something I've never honestly read before.
Logic I: By and large my favorite class this semester. The teacher was Native American and had two very small braids of hair (that was all his hair) that ran down either side. He was extremely laid back, the class was easily understood and two of the guys in the class, whom we all had the same break times before would sit around outside the building and just bullshit. Twas a very fun class. (I guess that's the key huh, Fun classes = Easy A.)
Introduction to Global Climate Change: The prof was borning, but like usual, I can always find someone to talk to in class, his name was Mike, he reminded me alot of Jonathan, in that he was a married gamer, and had the shaved sides. We talked about geek things, about his passion for
Myrmecology Pretty interesting guy to talk to. The class was boring, and the professor equally so, I didn't learn a whole lot, and I don't think there was any other way he could have asked on the final (CO2 has caused a gradual warming over the past 100 years). *shrugs*
Overall, I think I am ahead of the game.
I really enjoyed this Semester, and hope the next one doesn't kill me. 4 Lit classes and Spanish.
Joy.
