I saw you dancing with a girl like me

The Mr returned from Pittsburgh last night, bravely making his way through some of the most EPIC storms I've seen in a long time without the sirens going off. He returned from his trip, as all people should, bearing souvenirs for me.

First up, I got a new piece for my collection:

I collect coffee cups (I know, SHOCKING, right?) and The Mr braved a sports shop in Pittsburgh to purchase this. His love for me CLEARLY outweighs his love for the Bengals, as he did NOT burst immediately into flames upon entering a location called "Sportzburgh".

Seriously.

(Pretty sure I would have, unless it was possible to bypass all the steelers merch for the Penguins section, like, immediately. I don't think I love anything or anyone enough to overcome my sporting biases.) Sportzburgh. >:(((

I also got a penguins lanyard for my work ID badge, and a souvenir puck that I am going to spend a lot of time contemplating chucking at my boss's head.

Then we watched Goon, which made me so stupidly happy. It's great, everyone go watch it and report back here asap. Even The Mr liked it!

Today, we took the boys to the S-i-L's so they could swim (I am now the proud mama of two lobster-boys!) and The MR and I ran errands that included buying me this shirt:

(Ohio. We try.)

This sweet new blender:

(Smooooooooooooooooooothies!) (Fabulous color! Seriously, I'm psyched, even if it is a cheapo blender that's probably good for nothing but mashing up bananas with yogurt. That's all I use a blender for anyway.)

And this hat for Pudge:

Pudge needed a new hat (poor Pudge has VERY VERY fine, thin blond hair, and his head burns easily, so I make him wear a hat most times we're out. Also, as my previous post proved, he's kinda jocktastic, and what would a bro be without a hat, yo?), and I saw this one and snatched it up. When I gave it to him, I said, "Look! I got you a new hat because you need a new hat!"

Pudge said, "It's ... hockey." :|||

Which, sighlol. Because like, at least he knew what sport? And which team? But also I fail as a parent in multiple ways, summed up in this TWO-WORD SENTENCE.

We also got Goober a bed frame, so he can stop sleeping on a mattress on the floor like a crackhead, but we got it at Ikea and it's not put together yet, so I can't take a picture.

And now, I will watch racing and drink coffee and do all the laundry.

home sweet what now, my city can beat up your city, goober, pudge, sportballs, go fast turn left
