Why, Brain, I think that is a lovely idea!

As many of you know, I was an American history major. (Because I often felt the way to repay my parents for 18 years of love and support was by wasting sixty grand.) My focus was the Civil War War of Northern Aggression. You can imagine, then, that this particular time of year (Lincoln's birthday) is like intellectual Christmas for me.

The point here is that I have spent last night and this morning watching my Lincoln-centric biographies and deciding that in my head, Abraham Lincoln is Pete Wentz. (Though I do not have a mom crush on Old Abe. He can live in my basement if he wants, but I have no overwhelming desire to bake him cookies or pay him to mow my lawn.) But no, seriously. (As much as that word can be applied to this situation.) Vaguely gay, politically motivated, kinda crazy, all for civil rights, married to a popular girl, from Illinois.

What, it works in my head, okay?

everyone here is a crazy person, music
