Sometimes I'm awake when I should be sleeping.
My insomnia problem is about as well known as my coffee problem. (Incidentally, the two are (mostly) unrelated to each other.) Anyway, when I haven't slept in about four days, and I have a very long commute to make at 7:30am through Sunday morning lack of traffic, hazy morning light, knowing I have three days off in a row staring me in the face, well, I kind of need some help, you know, not falling asleep doing 70mph on the highway.

2. My Chemical Romance - Welcome to the Black Parade
When I hear this song, I always think of that clip where Bob does the drums straight through and makes me happy in my pants? So that's a nice way of keeping myself awake for 5:11.
3. 3oh!3 - Holler Til You Pass Out
It's bassy. It makes me chair dance. It distracts me from the fact that I'm driving past a Starbucks but I'm not STOPPING at a Starbucks.
4. Fall Out Boy - A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me
Because I usually hit this song right before the highway, and I ALWAYS get stuck by the World's Longest Red Light, and this song is poppy enough that I don't fall asleep at the light.
5. Get Up Kids - Mass Pike
Because I hit this song right as I hit the highway, and I like it, and I said so.
6. Panic at the Disco - There's a Good Reason This Song Title Is So Long These Tables Are Numbered...
Mostly because it's a hilarious challenge to see if I can sing along and get all the words AND the timing right. Seriously, Ryan Ross.
7. The Hush Sound - Honey
Because Greta is my girlfriend and her voice makes me happy.
8. Mindless Self Indulgence - Bitches
Because 1. it's awesome, 2. Kitty is also my girlfriend, and 3. there is something enormously amusing about the cognitive dissonance between hearing "Honey" followed by "Bitches".
9. The Used - Take It Away
Oh, Dirty Bert McCracken. When you yell at me, I want to give you a hug from very far away.
10. Streetlight Manifesto - Keasby Nights
Again, because it's fun to see if i can actually remember all the words and sing along fast enough. Plus, I'm back in town by the time I hit this song, and it's all stop-n-go driving and I need something fast and fun.
11. A Day to Remember - Since U Been Gone
Is there anything better than a screaming hardcore cover of a Kelly Clarkson song to end your day? I don't think so.
