Scary things bring back scary memories...
Have you ever had something happen to you or someone close to you that brings back a scary or sad memory. Lately a lot of that seems to be happening... Halloween night, a friend of mine was seriously injured in a car accident. As Dirtbag likes to call him... "a brother from another mother" which he is. I have known chattercheese all the way back to Latchkey days when the two of them would raise hell in my life just for the fun of it. Anyway, he was driving home from his gf's house when he got into a serious accident and was taken to the hospital. I got a call from dirtbag (who sounded like he was in tears, no joke) telling me as much as he knew. You want to know the first thing that popped into my head when I heard this was the memory of almost a year ago, when we couldn't find my brother and it turned out that he had been in a serious accident and he didn't even bother to call us or anything so we were frantically searching for him for a few hours until finally somebody finally gets ahold of my mom. Can you believe it... the cops didn't even call my mom or the house!!! Sometimes these memories just hit you at the worst of times. Another memory that comes back to haunt me every once in awhile and everytime I see a death scene on TV was the death/funeral of my paternal Grandpa. It's been 6 years, 1 month and 15 days since he died and I am still not over it and probably never will be. Even as I write this, I'm beginning to cry. Anyone got a tissue??? :-) Well, I got to go before I get my tears all over the keyboard and something goes wrong. Just out of curiosity if anybody reads this.... What memories haunt you? Later
