Yeah, I was thinking that Asphyd was sort of modeled after Batman, and basically leads all the gargoyles. I'm glad you liked it!

Excellent job, You captured Jim's despair so well as he watched Gotham disolve into violence. I really loved the Gargoyles, bought to mind the cartoon Gargoyles (who I loved) especially Asphyd. I think Gotham assigned him to Jim as thanks for trying to hold her City together after her Knight was killed. Just thinking outloud here.
Thank you for sharing this expansion of the idea. You did a really wonderful job.
