My Random Post for this year:) Haha

So, life keeps moving on for me. I really seem to be less stressed lately and something like deep inside me feels strangely at peace. I have no clue why, but I am just going with it. My attitude lately is to not worry about the future as much as I do, or if I do, realize I'm doing it and stop. I'm just letting it all ride and letting life fall into place like the natural order of the universe wants it to. That's not to say sometimes I will freak out and flip. But hey, it's me:)
I'm taking a little more time for myself when I can, talking to friends or working on hobbies or stuff I like doing. Cooking!! Cooking for one, I used to do that alot, and I kinda like it, only I need more people to cook for besides me and my roommate. I've been thinking about bringing some stuff into work, but yeah. My roommate, who is a great cook, has been helping me out. I wanted to try and do my own pumpkin pie this year, but we will see.
I've also been just looking at things I like. I love fashion and reviewing and looking at this season's stuff and even historical clothing and fashion. There is something about the mix of colors and styles and how clothes make you feel that I enjoy. I mean, I have no money for the good stuff, but the visuals are amazing. I may be the only person still buying Vogues, since their readership is down:) I love the ads, they are so creative!! It's just great...sometimes I wonder if I enjoy the ad design more, but I digress.
I'm going to get political here so stop reading if you don't like politics ;) I'm watching a biography of Barack Obama on CNN. I am kind of hooked on the election and CNN lately, it's like some sort of spectator sport to me, with my super bowl on Nov 4. Anyway, I like his biography, you can see and understand his roots and see how it built his character. Now, what I don't like, is the Obama canvassers coming to our door sometimes 2 times a day and pressuring us to talk to them, but I suppose they really want him to win.
Not to pick on McCain but I have two issues with him. One is that his hand motions are kind of weird and stiff, I don't know if anyone else notices that and his wife is kinda off to me, there's something weird about her and I can't place it.
The second is McCain and Palin, keep saying that he wants to spread the wealth and calling him a socialist. First, damn right! the wealth needs to be spread! Exxon Mobile made RECORD PROFITS this quarter, people! Record profits, that's our money!! and the CEO's are living very comfortably off of it, probably using it for hookers and blow or something! Maids and shit. Hell. I mean, how much money do people need? So yes, if you have an excess, you should be prepared to pay more taxes, I'm sorry, but that's the way it should be. You only need such an amount to live very comfortably.
Also, let's just get on the "straight talk" express and simplifying what McCain/Palin is alluding to when they call Obama a socialist. They are implying that Obama's plan is communism or has communist leanings, which is just bullshit. You guys don't know how hard I laughed when I heard him saying Obama was a socialist, I was like"Seriously? You're saying he's a commie?? Come on!" I mean, honestly, how low can you go? What's next? Saying he's the next Stalin? Saying he wants to take over Georgia with Russia? I mean, the McCain camp is already saying Obama has ties with terrorists too, so why not!
Honestly.
Anyway, I already early voted, so I'm set, but I thought I would get on my soap box and enlighten:)
