How is it almost the end of the season already? And I still can't believe Janette was voted off last week. She was in my final three.
The Guys Group: Willy Wonka-esque? Oh dear.
Y'know, I think this was a good dance for Evan; he's so compact that it made his moves pop more than the other two, although I'm so distracted by them all being dressed like Kano at a zombie rave. Weird and jokey is very much his skill set.
Jeanine & Ade, Samba: Yay! Jeanine pulled Ade! But man, samba. Ballroom has been such a kiss of death this season.
...There was seriously more sex in this dance than in some movies. I loved the fast footwork but I'm going to have to defer to Mary's more expert samba opinion. I'm still reeling from hearing people criticize Ade like this.
Kayla's Solo: Man, I really like Kayla but I always hate her solos. It always looks like a lot of flailing and jumping.
Melissa & Evan, Broadway: Oh God, Melissa's so tall and she pulled Evan. At least they're doing Broadway. Evan is so happy to be able to do jazz hands.:)
Melissa is so charismatic and adorable. They dance to "Get Me to the Church On Time" and Evan is half-dressed, which I'm sure makes his fans happy.:) And I'm a big fan of Evan's and he was wonderful, but I want to gush about Melissa: everything about her, from her lines to her smiles is so perfect and appealing. She had better be in the final three.
Kayla & Brandon, Contemporary: These two are so striking together. That was a beautiful dance; Kayla dances with so much passion in everything and this is the first time I really bought Brandon being in character. Fantastic dance.
Jeanine & Ade, Hip Hop: This just reminds me that we still haven't had crump this season. Aw, Mary feels bad that she didn't praise Jeanine enough during the samba.:) Lots of energy, but there were too many shenanigans with the boxes for my taste.
Melissa & Evan, Quick Step: Oh God, they pulled the dance of death!:) That's such a beautiful dress; Melissa looks like she stepped right out of an old MGM musical. Still, like always no one's happy with the Quick Step.:)
Kayla & Brandon, Disco: I confess, I didn't get to pay close attention to this one. Their costumes were very white? I'm sure they were good, not just because they're Brandon and Kayla but because Nigel did a crazy dance of joy for the routine.:
Girls Group: Wait, is this Powerpuff Girl themed? Well, okay, not with those costumes. They look like dancers at a Wonder Woman S&M club. It was good, of course; they did spotlight Kayla a bit but...I'm sorry, Nigel? No, Nigel. Bad. *sprays with hose*
