There may be some casting news on HBO's Game of Thrones series: IMDB has Holly Marie Combs listed as Catelyn Stark and Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister. I'm not sure how sold I am on HMC's casting; I tend to picture Cat as taller and fairer --- Sansa has auburn hair, and she takes after her mother --- but I'm more than willing to compromise on hair color if she nails Catelyn's attitude. And Peter Dinklage was born to play Tyrion, so there's no bad there. Assuming this is true of course, knowing IMDB. *mumblefilthyHeroesfinaleliemumble*

So we saw Terminator: Salvation yesterday and I thought it was solid but not up to the bar set by Star Trek. And obviously
heart transplants Do Not Work That Way, but I'm willing to handwave cyborg science to a certain extent. I'm glad I read Timothy Zahn's prequel because it got much more into Kyle and Star and what an awesome team they make, but at the same time it made me expect much more awesome things from Barnes. All he did in the movie was stand around, look sad and hit things when the plot called for it, while in the book he was a badass bomb-throwing mofo. But at least he got to hit things; all Kate got to do was stand around and look sad (and I'd thought her role was tiny in the book!). I really liked Moon Bloodgood though (could she make a more perfect Dani Moonstar?) and I loved Kyle and Star.
What a summer Anton Yelchin's having, huh? His agent must have spent the past two weeks twirling around in a spinny chair laughing maniacally.
