So I finally got my stupid, stupid brain to work, figured out an acceptable theme song and sent in that rp app, so we'll see how that goes. (Thanks for the suggestions, BTW. I was just being very picky.:)
While I was mulling things over for that application I came to a hilarious and kind of appalling realization: Iron Man and War Machine are the Heterosexual Life Partner verson of Ant-man and Wasp.
It's true! Both involve a genius Character As with horrible interpersonal skills and problems with self-control and alcohol who stumble onto something that lets them be superheroes, and who then immediately recreate it for Character B so that the two of them can go off and do superhero-y things together. The only two differences are that Tony and Rhodey aren't married and are about one thousand times more functional.
For those not aquainted with Ant-Man/Giant Man/whatever-the-heck-Hank-Pym-is-calling-himself-today, everything you need to know is that Tony Stark beats him at relationships. Tony Stark.
Poor Janet. I can imagine her watching Tony and Rhodey geeking out over their suits, sighing and saying to herself, "God, I wish my husband treated me like that."
