Man, I don't believe he said it!
Over the course of the night RAW's been doing spots where Obama, Clinton and McCain have been addressing the WWE fans, and during his spot Obama actually said, "Do you smell what Barack is cooking?" I can't adequately explain how awesome this is.
I've come to the realization that I have absolutely no ability to judge my own work. For example, I recently got two stories back from my Awesome Beta; the story I had serious concerns about (to the point that I wondered about posting it) came back untouched, while the fic I thought was pretty good came back covered in the red font of DOOM. Sigh.
So I'm busy editing that, and I'm also trying to polish a Peter/Claude fic I just finished drafting; I really still like the idea behind it but I'm...er, not thrilled with my execution (BTW, is there anything more disheartening than putting what you think is the final touch on a fic, then coming back the next day and not only going, "Wait, is that it? Really?" but "Oh man, is that it? Ugh.") I'm also back working on my Heroes/Fantastic Four crossover, which I'm really digging writing but I'm not sure anyone else will care about.:) It's shaping up to be 25 or so pages of two characters talking. At least I'm having fun.:)
I'm slowly getting caught up on Torchwood; I watched Meat and Adam yesterday, and while I'll say something with more substance later I just want to declare that I am absolutely taking Jack's (hilariously filthy) line about "alien meat" as referring to the Ninth Doctor. No power in the 'verse can stop me!:)
