Vindication!

Just quick reaction post, before my break ends.

1. Turns out I was totally right not to trust Parkman. Way to immediately start falling to the Dark Side, Matt.

2. And Totally Right #2: Yep, turns out Adam is the one who killed Kaito (and what a wonderful farewell to Kaito/George Takai this episode was). This sets up what should be a fantastic confrontation between Hiro and Peter next week, because Hiro's going to be out for justice (if not for blood), whereas after the way Adam saved Nathan he's pretty much going to have to boil kittens alive in front of Peter for him even to consider that Adam's the villain. And that's even before Peter tells Hiro that they have a virus to stop.

3. Ho boy, Bennet, you are in a lot of trouble. I'd like to think that Adam and Peter somehow have him, but that's probably not too likely. On the bright side, I think Bennet's finally paid off all that karmic debt from "Company Man."

4. Oh, Mohinder. He tries so hard to do the right thing, but he's completely incapable of seeing shades of gray (which makes Bennet and Bob the worst possible company for him to be keeping).

5. Okay, I give. I actually like West. He's too dopey and reminds me too much of Peter for me not to (although I still think he's Sylar bait). His responding to seeing Bennet almost exactly the way Claude did won him some points with me last week, I admit, and he and Bennet made for a good team-up.

6. On a related note, this was the first time I felt anything at all for Elle. The possibility that her father more or less broke her gives her some depth, and while I still don't like her, I don't necessarily want her to end up like Candice (which is progress). Considering that she was experimented on while Claude and Bennet were still partners, I'm also wondering if she was his tipping point, the case he had in the back of his mind when he started hiding supers.

i love this show, heroes
