Three things make a post and stuff
1) I went shopping for new work shoes today and managed to find two pairs that were neither sandals or open toed, and I don't know how many of you have been in a shoe store recently but that felt like such a momentous fucking achievement that I got myself ice cream on the way home to celebrate. (Well, custard, technically, since I went to Rita's, and FYI: if you get a gelati with the mango ice and the vanilla custard it tastes like a creamsicle made by God.)
2) Did I mention how much I loved Man of Steel? LOVED THAT MOVIE. [Spoiler (click to open)]Loved the dystopic world building on Krypton that built on John Byrne's work, loved the nuance they gave the Zod and his group and how the cultural caste system as shown on Krypton would actually play out (this is the most thought that's been put into Zod in forever) and most of all loved how it was a movie about choice and free will and identity giving trust even when you have every reason not to. Just happy sighs all around with that movie.
3) Speaking of perfect movies, I'm watching Wreck-It Ralph right now. Again. *happy sighs*
