Meme from everywhere!

First TV show I had self-insertion fantasies about:

Probably Sesame Street? I have vague memories of pretending I could meet Snuffy and Big Bird.

First fandom in which I interacted (online and in person) with other fans:X-Men comicverse. My family first got internet my senior year in high school (Web TV. For reals) and it ( Read more... )

First fannish friend I met in person:

Still haven’t.:(

We are going to fix this, for goodness sake. One day soon, we're going to have a fangirl weekend where we do nothing but pig out on junk food and watch the most squee-worthy episodes of all our favorite shows. *nod nod* Fair warning. ;)

Also, this: (remember email lists?)

OMG YES. *cackles like mad* Back in the days of dial-up service and e-mail accounts that were assigned, not chosen, based on whatever service you had. *shakes head fondly*

Aw.:) *smishes* You could get me into SGA! (And 5-0, since I haven't actually seen that yet. I just read fic for it:)

*shakes head fondly*

I once had someone refuse to believe that Web TV was a thing that had existed. They honestly thought I was messing with them and couldn't wrap their minds around the idea that we didn't have a computer.:)

You...haven't seen Five-0? WHAT? Okay, this is happening. Definitely. We need to fix this horrible, horrible tragedy.

LOL oh dear! That's like the way teenagers today don't believe that a time ever existed where they couldn't have had a cell phone.

I run game on Monday and it's not on demand or on Netflix! It's not that I don't want to see it!

Maria/Luis! My five-year-old self thought having them as parents would be THE BEST THING EVER. Getting to live with them *on Sesame Street* would've just been a happy bonus. *g*

(Thank you so much for the dragon! I'm not entirely sure what gesture he's making, but it cracks me up to ponder the possibilities. :)

I still remember the episode where Big Bird catches the two of them holding hands crossing the street and asks why, since they're grown ups and that's when they realize they're ~in love~. Cue tiny squeeful me. (Clearly shippers are born, not made.:)

(Aw, you're welcome! Free vgifts are the best vgifts!)

I think 99% of my self-insertion thoughts are just about hanging out in the places where some shows are.
