Ugh, this day. Every time I started making progress on things, someone came by and dropped something on my desk. And somehow getting new computers in the office has made us less efficient. Bah, I say!

Oh! Oh! Hmmm...

How about an AU in which the first angelic war (where Lucifer fell) has never actually come to a head and Lucifer brought it down to Earth, involving the hunters through the ages and creating a post-apocalyptic type of world for all the humans to live in. Castiel, one of the "neutral" angels who're trying to save the humans, is injured somehow and ends up in the Winchesters' care.

(Sorry, it's the best I can think of. Your writing pretty much encompasses the entirety of all my dreams otherwise, lol.)

They were arguing over who would be assigned to guard him. The tall young one was campaigning for the duty, fascination overwhelming caution, but the other two were shouting him down, the gruff hunter in the flannel and the boy's brother, the green-eyed one who'd found him in the field. He was the one who owned the car. Castiel did not like the car.

He wondered if he should tell them all the deliberation was unnecessary - he wouldn't be able to hurt them if he'd wanted to. Even the slightest movement sent jolts of pain spiraling down from his shredded wings, like screws were being slowly driven into each joint. If the Winchesters hadn't stumbled onto things when they did he suspected Lucifer would have ripped them out completely. Not that he expected the hunters to believe that. It figured that his infiltration would fool everyone except Lucifer ( ... )

It's perfect because I totally just emailed you in time to see this in my inbox and then I read it and OMG I'm so happy you did three paragraphs instead of three sentences because even these little paragraphs are amazing and perfect in every conceivable way and can you tell I've basically streamlined sugar all day???
