Someone ALWAYS sings More Than A Feeling.

Just got back from cheering my friend on in a karaoke contest (in which he was robbed, BTW).

...I may be just the slightest bit buzzed on vodka cranberries.:)

I've been pretty clear on my feelings on Ilsa , which tend to hover around, "Oh, when will be her tragic yet inevitable demise?" and "What will it take for Guerrero to drive her off a cliff! For great justice?!" I've been talked down from my intense hatred last night by my dear karaoke-singing friend, who in true gamer fashion likened her to a princess who has joined a team of adventurers --- just because it seems obvious to them, that doesn't mean she knows how to do anything useful. Which I can see, and the woman is trying. Sort of. But still there comes a time when the princess has to learn how to sling a sword or the party is going to trade her to the nearest dragon for some shiny, shiny gold, and I'm rapidly reaching that point with Ilsa.

Ames, however, is adorable. I love how she genuinely admires him (her calling him "dad" this week was so cute) and yet will still do things like damage his Caddy if the job needs it. She's integrating pretty well, I think, certainly better than Ilsa, and as a Guerrero fan it's fun to see someone who likes being around him --- even if she's still kind of afraid of him, as she should be --- even without having years and years of back story the way Chance does. She's so his Jubilee, and I like that if Baptiste, God forbid, ever makes good on his threat I can easily see her coming out guns blazing.

Still not done with Yuletide, but I'll get there, hopefully tomorrow. And I'm doing good with the treat I plan on writing. So yay.

I submitted a prompt to comment_fic, as you do, and this is a prime example of how I'm terrible at comment fic because the idea's been percolating in my idea for the past two days and I kind of want to write it so much my fingers itch. And it's nowhere near comment fic length. This is not helping me fill stockings, brain!

writing's hard!, guerrero is a bad dude, yuletide
