Today, I woke up 12:00p.m, and ate breakfast.
I started surfing the internet and check my e-mail, but there was only one e-mail.
I did whatever I felt like to do, and I was getting sleepy, so I took a nap.
I woke up, and my host father just start cooking, so I helped him.
I chopped celery, red pepper, and leek onions. We made stir pasta with vegetables and shrimps.
Uhhhhhhhhhhh I loooooooooove shrimps. I love crubs toooooooo!! We did a good job. Pasta was taste so goood!
After we ate the dinner, we went to the movies theater. We watched the Longest Yard. That was really good! but little sad.
These things are what I did today.
About my title, this is what I'm going to talk about it.
When I was in Japan. If there were white or black people, we thought that Americans were here!
However, in here, I often hard "African American," which means black people, but but but we don't say "European American" to whites. Why? Because Whites are original American?
When European found a New World, there were people, Native American. They were the original.
If people from Africa or other country came to the United States, and they got American citizen, they will be African American or other country name American. I think, but so many black people live here long time. I'm not sure their ancestor came here as visitors, students, bums, or slaves, but they live here, and their so many generation live here from long time ago too!
Why we say black people "African American"? Because America means whites' country? All american know that the United States has so many different people and culture, which means there are so many races.
Is the word "African American" discriminating word? Or Black people have a pride? like "I'm not an American. I am an African American!!"
Soomebody pleeeeeeeeeease answer my question!
Nnnnnnnnnnnnnn my american life makes me produce so many questions!!
