I love the writings of Bunmi Laditan. There are so many mommy bloggers and sites out there, but hers really speaks to me. I'm still into Ayun Halliday's parenting writings, but since her daughter is much older, it's nice to read from someone with a toddler. I haven't read a ton of Laditan, I catch her here and there on FB. She made the most epic statement the other day. Writing about a hard morning dealing with her little son:
"I will not cut my child against my broken edges"
OMG. I want to get it tattooed on my skin. This is the struggle every day, in ways big and small. It's relevant both in trying to be patient with a 2 year old who is screaming and kicking on the floor, and in helping my oldest navigate friendship challenges. I will not cut them on my broken edges. This instantly etched into my brain.
