(no subject)
weekend was a bit bizarre to say the least...
not the usual slimes experience instead irish countryside and movies galore
have spent the majority of these days relaxing and enjoying the light sunshine and swimming...trying to get fit but mother decided to invite some famous cook called darina allen to our house
she turned up late and all she wished to do was pester me into going on her cooking course which at first i politely declined and by the end i ignored her invitations
my mother spent the whole day fussing about her coming and i spent the whole day around the house swimming and relaxing
following day we went to a local towns market where i purchased a really cool cow horn bracelet, skull hatpin and a cute frog basket before meeting my wakeboarind instructors and went to one of there houses to spend some time with them
one of them lives with their family in a rustic cottage where everything is organic and old and preserved but they were the most amazingly relaxed people i have ever met...was asked to spend the night which i did and they cooked a lovely meal for us as they are members of a organisation called slow food, the opposite to fast food and is gorgeous to eat...eating strawberries, lettuce and meat is a totally different experience there because everything is fresh and organic...had fab time
tried space cake for the first time...had a bit of effect on me but i just ended up feeling really stupid and paranoid...though i proceeded to eat much more :D
was interesting to observe a totally different way of life
and still through many days of persuading i will be coming home tomorrow (family trying to get me to stay here until friday but none of them will be free at all during the week :(
