1. axis & allies:
   Nothing is more fun than a 6 to 10 hour strategy game with lots of friends, snacks, beer, and eye patches. At this point my boyfriend and I now own 2 different versions of this game.
2. clubbing:
   Again, this is an excellent way to spend your time, but particularly with close friends. The best spring break I ever had was club hopping in Boston and New York with the lovely ladies, Angela and Meg. It's time for Goth Charades!
3. d&d:
   Another fun pastime with friends (I am noticing a pattern here!) This one involves dice, lots of books (too many, very expensive books), and extensive rules knowledge...oh, and some roleplaying too.
4. faeries:
   Small creatures that spread mirth and mischief everywhere they go...they are not necessarily cute and certainly not very nice. I have it on good authority that they like to shove Altoids up peoples noses.
5. futurepop:
   Music from another era...chekc out VNV if you are curious.
6. horror:
   Lovecraft and Poe shall rule the world with fear! Mwahahaha...but seriously Stephen King is hack compared the legends of old.
7. kurt vonnegut jr:
   This man has written some of the most poignant science fiction of our time. It can be funny, sad, confusing, fractured, horrific, and is almost always on target. Dresden, nuff said!
8. monkeys:
   Once, the cutest monkey ever stole my icecream. Since then I have been obsessed with monkeys and often use it as an expletive. Monkeys!
9. renaissance faires:
   Renaissance faires are great for shelf boob, leg of turkey, heckling actors/actresses, mead, wicked pissa swords, and beautiful costumes. They are not so great for prices of admission, wrestling into costumes, and being oggled.
10. serial experiments lain:
    It would be hard to explain this anime series. I have watched it a couple of time nows and I am still confused and still in love with it. I totally need a teddy bear suit...
