Even if you don't think it counts...
Even if you are fed up with the big corporations and lobbyists...
Even if you have lost faith in government...
Even if you are disgusted by Democrats, Republicans, or both...
Even if you think that important issues aren't heard...
Even if you think it is all lost in corruption...
Even if you think you are too busy...
VOTE!
This is a republic, and in a republic, citizens vote. I hate to sound cliche or overly sentimental, but people have died to protect your right to vote and to get the very right to vote in the first place. In a time when our rights as citizens are being eroded away by the re-writing of the Constitution and the bolstering of executive powers (I bet you can guess how I feel about the current administration), it is very important to hold on to and demonstrate the limited power that we have left.
You may not like all of the candidates (they're all crooks and liars!) but don't let your voice be silent because you don't engage in the system. It's our system. Take some responsibility in it and vote!
