This past weekend was a downer because I had a nasty cold and barely even got dressed. But I had delicious coconut chili chicken soup, so that helped. Weirdly, I could only smell things I had eaten while blowing my nose.
Called the pool today - apparently the city was replacing a fire hydrant outside the park facility and shut off the water. Everything is back up and running now, but I found out that they're going to close next week for major renovations that will take about 3 months. BOO. I'm going to have to find some other method of exercising, or pony up for a membership at a gym with a pool.
Tonight I'm going to try to do 1200 yards straight and if that goes okay, then this will be my last week! That would make Saturday my 1650 yard day, and I'm excited! I have to figure out how I'm going to keep track of the laps... it's 33 x 50 yards, which is easier for me to track because of the direction I'm swimming, but it's not a great method. We'll see.
On Friday I went home early because I was feeling lousy, and stopped at the library to get books for holing myself up with. Not only did I get a book I'd already read, I got TWO books I'd already read AND PURCHASED. I felt very silly, and was kicking myself for not getting the sequels to each. Oops. Next time, mebbe.
