it's an old-time radio trifecta!
I'm listening to The Adventures of Philip Marlowe, and the episode "King in Yellow", aired July 8, 1947. This one stars Van Heflin as Marlowe, Gerald Mohr as "King" Leopardi, and now I've just heard Bill Johnstone's voice as a house dick. Why this is great: Gerald Mohr later took over the Philip Marlowe role from Van Heflin, and Bill Johnstone is probably my favorite voice of The Shadow.
