So after the rousing discussion about Mr. Darcy, I'm trying to think of other fictional characters that I admire/pine for/lust after... and really, they're all bastards.
Corwin of Amber - immortal, incredibly powerful, hundreds of years old, goes a-roving. Probably great fun to be seduced by, until one of his relations or enemies comes along to kill you.
Captain James T. Kirk - daring, passionate, physical, and sleeps with just about every female he can get his hands on. Usually after this they either die or go crazy, or some conjured-up plot twist drives him away.
James Bond - passionate, daring, cruel, also sleeps with just about any female he can get his hands on, and they usually die or betray him, and then get killed. He gets torn up about it, but that doesn't do me any good.
Sirius Black - natch. passionate, daring, cruel, is in love with Remus, and is also dead. Damnit.
Sylar - um. (I have no excuses, it's just because I think Zachary Quinto is hot.)
The Joker - He's definitely my favorite villain, but I have no doubt I would be absolutely terrified of him. Which is how it should be.
Any additions to this list? I know I'm forgetting some.
