thoughts on people I know getting married
So, I'm talking to Mei Ling about how fancy Nancy is getting married next week (and there's a statement that requires a Holy Shit if I've ever heard one), and I'm thinking, you know?
I feel like there are a bunch of people I know all traveling together, in terms of life milestones, and I'm off somewhere else entirely. Like, everybody's heading down the river, and I got sidetracked hiking up the mountain. Or as Mei Ling puts it, gone accidentally spelunking.
It's not a bad thing that I'm off doing something else, but it is different, and I wonder, from time to time, what it is I'm missing.
