Paper Cities: An Anthology of Urban Fantasy. Edited by Ekaterina Sedia
I've just finished this collection of short stories, and although many of them are quite good, one sticks the most. This may be because it's very Calvino-esque, because I have a thing for cartography, for ink, or it might just be because it's the best of the lot. It's probably the last story for a reason.
The author is Catherynne M. Valente, and the story is called Palimpsest. I'm going to have to try to find more stories by this author at the library, when next I go.
