Chocolate Chai

Verdict: Tasty!

Chai (With chocolate option)

1 teabag - any tea, really. Black tea or Chai will make a more traditional drink. Green is really good as well, especially powdered green tea (matcha) . I've also tried mint, which is pretty good too.
1 cinnamon tea bag OR bit of cinnamon stick OR 1/2 tsp cinnamon
3-4 whole peppercorns (optional for extra spice)
1/2 c water
1/4 tsp ginger (or more for more spice. Another option is a slice of fresh ginger added to the steeping tea)
1/8 tsp cardamom
2 tbs honey or sugar
1 tsp  vanilla
2 cups milk (or what ever you like to use as milk)

Bring 1/2 cup water to a boil, turn off heat and steep tea, cinnamon, and peppercorns for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags, cinnamon stick, peppercorns and whatever else you added to the water. Add in powdered ginger, cardamom, sugar/honey, and vanilla. Once combined add milk. Heat liquid to a simmer for hot chai or pour over ice for a cold drink.

If you want to make chocolate chai, add 1 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder before you add the milk.
