A Santa Lucia Doll (Img Heavy!!)
I know that Santa Lucia day was December 13, but I made this as a Yule present for a friend of mine.
I used a pattern based out of Creative Cloth Doll Making by Patti Medaris Culea. I made the balls for her joints from Fimo. I like that she's poseable.
The buttons are just pearl beads. They do function like buttons, so her dress is removable.
I used branched from a mini Christmas tree to make the chaplet and the candles are made from glittery Fimo.
Her hair is hand rooted and French braided. I'm really happy with the way it turned out!
