Title: A Daeva's Patience Author: Griddlebone (eggplantlady) Prompt: Envy Word count: 300 Rating: K+ Warnings: Crossover (IY/Aion) Summary: A Daeva can afford to be patient. Usually.
*sigh* Poor Miroku. The things we sometimes learn about ourselves when forced into action...This line made me smile wryly: He had thought he was smarter than that, or at least more selfish.
I'm looking forward to learning more about this universe, it sounds very intriguing!
I enjoyed the exchange between Miroku and Inuyasha but I'm totally lost as to what is going on. Is this a sequel to an earlier post I've missed? Miroku and Sango are immortal somehow?
It's a crossover with a video game in which most (major) characters are immortal for various reasons that won't be easily understood by people who don't play the game, the most important of which is that they were chosen by their god to be defenders of humankind. The word count limit precluded explaining all of this in the drabble itself.
This story goes a bit with some other one-shots and ficlets I've written that are also set in the same universe. Since I assume you're unfamiliar with Aion (and it is in non-linear serial format), I doubt you will be interested in the rest, but the master post is here.
I had no clue about the Final Fantasy stuff until Feni started writing in that fandom and I've been able to pick up enough to beta her stories so I'll give these a shot. I'll add them to my "to be read" list.

"She only has him for a lifetime. She has me forever."
Such a touching line - the right bit of hopefulness there...
It was ingenious. And cruel. Daeva were immortal, but there were limits to Aion's gifts.
Too few people acknowledge that Naraku's plan is actually quite cruel and amazing.
GREAT JOB I AM IN LUFF!
