Summary:CU. Miroku deviates.
This was not the way Sango preferred to meet Miroku, with her arms full of firewood she would scarcely be able to defend against his perverted antics. Indeed, she preferred to face Miroku with Hiraikotsu - just in case he overstepped his boundaries.
The amiable smile did nothing to quell the rising suspicion in her gut.
“What?” she asked tersely, stepping to give the monk a wide berth, irked when he mirrored the movement.
“I came to see if I could help,” he hummed cheerfully, shakujou tinkling merrily.
Blowing her hair out of her eyes - the day was humid and her hair was clinging to damp skin irritably, she shrugged. “I don’t need help, thank you,” she said primly as she was able. That genial smile was really beginning to disconcert her.
He stepped forwards, infringing on her personal space enough that she prepared to throw the firewood at him - just in case. Instead, she was stunned into inactivity when he merely brushed the hair away from her hot neck and circled around her. His newfound proximity to her bottom alarmed her, but the tender touch had rendered her incapable of movement.
Ever so carefully, like she was a deer easily startled into running away, he swept her tresses from her neck and twisted them up and into a high ponytail that exposed her neck to the gentle breeze.
“Houshi-sama?”
Miroku chuckled and began to walk away from the stunned slayer. “Just trying to help.”
Maybe he can be sweet... occasionally.
